ClosedHow do I specify the default inflation rate for defined benefit pensions?
  • From the Plan Settings — Cash Flow tab, enter the inflation rate you would like to use by default.
ClosedHow do I set a default end date for pre-retirement expenses?
  • From the Plan Settings — Cash Flow tab, select to end pre-retirement expenses either at Retirement or at Death.
ClosedWhat do the Cover any pre-retirement deficits caused by Lifestyle/Medical/Deductible expenses check-boxes do?
  • During the pre-retirement stage of planning, cash flow deficits will not be solved by withdrawing Non-Qualified assets by default. Checking any of these check-boxes will make their listed expense type to be eligible to have assets withdrawn from in the instance that the expense causes deficits during the pre-retirement period.
    • Lifestyle : This check-box applies to any Lifestyle type expenses added.
    • Medical : This check-box applies to any Medical type expenses added.
    • Deductible : This check-box applies to any Self-Employ/Bus, Alimony, Real Estate & Prop Taxes, Gifts to Charity, Deductible subject to 2% limit, Deductible above the line, and Deductible itemized type expenses added.

Note: In order to access this setting, first check the Redeem from accounts to cover deficits in the pre-retirement period check-box, found on the Net Worth tab of User Preferences - Plan Settings.
